Alysia Bell

Alysia Bell serves as President of UNITE-LA, a 27-year-old nonprofit focused on equitable economic mobility via cradle to career education and workforce development. UNITE-LA’s three domains include systems change, policy, and programs. The organization collaborates with numerous regional, statewide, and national stakeholders, including businesses, educational institutions, community-based organizations, and public systems. Bell serves on the California Workforce Development Board, the CA FWD Board, the California Stewardship Network Executive Committee, the California Jobs First Los Angeles County Collaborative Steering Committee, and the USC EdPolicy Hub Advisory Board. Before joining UNITE-LA, Bell served as an executive for the Greater-Irving Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, focused on education, workforce development, and economic development; held positions with LAUSD’s Personnel Selection Branch and Southern California Edison’s Performance Assessment Services Division; and served as an Adjunct Professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Pepperdine University. Bell graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California and earned her master’s degree in industrial-organizational Psychology from Cal State Long Beach. Born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA, and an avid sports fan, she spends her free time with her husband Matt and their seven-year-old son Maddox.
