The Workforce Accelerator Fund (Accelerator), funded by the CWDB and its partners, supports model projects that accelerate workforce solutions and connects Californians within specific regions to quality jobs.

By dividing the state into 15 workforce regions, each with its own regional plan, Accelerator enables each workforce region to capitalize on its specific strengths and resources and create quality jobs within its region.

Accelerator’s goals are:

• Improve California’s labor market.
• Develop marketable skills for target groups.
• Build on the success of earlier Accelerator projects.
• Create new service delivery and funding alignment that can be applied statewide and tailored to regional needs. 
• Secure investments and commitments from key industry, labor, education, public and community partners to pair with state investments.  
• Emphasize High Road principles in training programs.
