CWDB’s High Road Training Partnerships Resilient Workforce Program invests in training partnerships with high road employers across the state. This program expands opportunities for Californians from underserved communities, connecting them with the skills and support needed to succeed in quality, high-demand careers.  

By strengthening the talent pipeline in key industries, the program drives economic resilience, equity, and growth for California’s workforce and employers alike.

FUNDING SOURCE INFORMATION

High Road Training Partnerships are supported by the CWDB in coordination with the  LWDA  and various annual state fund allocations.

The 2022-23 Budget Year includes the following funding sources:

  • $19 Million: To support the Low Carbon Economy Grant Program. Funds are available until June 30, 2025, and funds are set aside until June 30, 2027.

     

  • $14.25 Million: For the development of the Oil and Gas Well Capping Pilot initiative in Kern and Los Angeles Counties. Funds may be used by state apprenticeship programs to develop curricula for training apprentices and to upskill journeypersons on well-capping projects. Funds are available until June 30, 2025, and set aside until June 30, 2027.
