Political Director - California Federation of Teachers
Kenneth C. Burt is the political director of the California Federation of Teachers. He represents more than 100,000 educators, from early childhood through the University of California. Burt’s interest in workforce development began with the Sacramento Private Industry Council in the 1980s. He is one of the original members of the CWDB. Burt is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He returned to the Berkeley campus as a visiting scholar, where he completed a forthcoming book, The Search for a Civic Voice: California Latino Politics.
