Shamima joined the California Workforce Development Board following over 20 years of experience working in the private sector mainly in financial institutions. She has spent a large part of her career in Credit Risk Management where she gained experience in analyzing credit/financial risk, loan documentation, and monitoring finance. Bringing in her experience, at the CWDB, she is appreciative to get the opportunity to work on HRCC: SB1 and CCI grant funding as it creates opportunity for high road construction careers to get back to the mainstream workforce that extends higher quality of life and income distribution. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughters and loved ones. Shamima also enjoy to watch movies, going on walks, watching the sunset, and trying new foods.
