Roy Mathews has over 10 years of experience working in Workforce Development, most recently with Career Systems Development Corporation and the Greater Sacramento Urban League. He is passionate about workforce development, workforce training, and collaborating with regional and statewide partners to meet the needs of California’s 21st-century world of work. Roy’s leadership in workforce development has provided him opportunities to collaborate with the California Community Colleges and assist with developing their “World of Work” curriculum, which is being utilized throughout the California Community College System. With the Urban League, Roy led a team partnering with SMUD to create “green energy” jobs for the underserved communities in Sacramento. Roy also serves as the Treasurer of a nonprofit housing board that builds affordable housing in the Northern California region.
