Paul Aguirre has over 6 years of experience in the public sector, where he’s worked in various roles serving his community in the Inland Empire (IE). For three years he served as a Workforce Development Specialist for San Bernardino County, where he assisted in the implementation of new job seeker training readiness workshops and hosted the monthly Professional Edge training course for local job seekers. Professional Edge was a program held in conjunction with San Bernardino County’s Workforce Development Department and the California Employers Association (CEA) which aimed to align businesses with job seekers. Following that, Paul played a key role in the San Bernardino County Community Hospital Emergency Response to COVID-19, serving as the COVID-19 Emergency Labor Pool Response Coordinator. In this role, he ensured the hospital and other county agencies were sufficiently staffed to address the community needs caused by the pandemic. Paul most recently worked for EDD as the primary Labor Market Consultant for the IE where he ensured his local community was knowledgeable regarding its labor force and industry employment data. This included extracting key labor market statistics, identifying industry trends, delivering presentations, and addressing questions from the media. Paul is very passionate about his community and strives to make California a better place for everyone who calls it home. In his free time, Paul enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as going to the gym, playing basketball, swimming, eating sushi, and camping with all of his family.
