Marissa loves to take a big idea or broad vision, work through how it would be operationalized at the state and local level, and then use that information to craft thoughtful and impactful policy. As a manager at the EDD, Marissa was able to gain valuable experience with policy development and implementation for state and federal programs. In the Intergovernmental Affairs Office she was responsible for analyzing state legislation and communicating administrative, policy, or budgetary concerns, and in the Workforce Service Branch she developed complex policy guidance for statewide federal WIOA implementation. Outside of work she can be found traveling, cheering on the Gonzaga Bulldogs, and continuing to cross things off her never-ending bucket list.
